Who we are
Redline Coding is an independent BMW coding service based in Perth, Western Australia. In this page, "we" and "us" means Redline Coding.
What we collect
When you use the quote page, we collect what you type in:
- your name and email address
- your phone number and suburb, if you give them
- your car's details, build date and VIN, if you give them
- the features you're interested in, your message, and your answers to our eligibility checker
- a record that you agreed to our booking terms, and when
When we do a job, we also record your car's details and your signature on our job sheet, and we save a backup of your car's factory coding before changing anything. We only take photos or videos to share with your OK.
How we use it
- to reply to your enquiry and give you a price
- to check which features your car can have
- to arrange a time and place for the job
- to do the work, and to restore your car's factory settings if you ever ask us to
We don't sell your details, and we don't add you to a marketing list.
Services that handle your details
- FormSubmit (formsubmit.co) delivers your quote request to our email and sends you the confirmation email.
- GitHub Pages hosts this website.
- Google Fonts provides the text font on this site.
- Google Analytics tells us how many people visit, which pages they look at, roughly where they're from and how many send a quote request. It doesn't tell us who you are.
- YouTube: our demo video only loads from YouTube when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode.
Cookies and your browser
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies so it can count visits and tell new visitors from returning ones. We don't use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.
When you use an eligibility checker, your answers are kept in your browser only until you close the tab, so the quote page can fill in your car details for you. They aren't sent to us unless you send a quote request.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to answer you and for our business records. We keep your car's coding backup so we can restore it later if you need us to. You can ask us to delete your details or your backup at any time.
Seeing, fixing or deleting your details
To see the details we hold about you, correct them, or ask us to delete them, reply to any email from us or send a request through the quote page.
